Food for Health Alliance

Who we are

Food for Health Alliance (formerly Obesity Policy Coalition) is a leading policy and advocacy voice working to improve diets and prevent overweight and obesity in Australia. We advocate to governments across Australia for changes to laws and policies to improve our food environment – the way our food is made, labelled, sold and advertised.

By creating a food environment where it is easy, convenient and affordable to eat delicious, nutritious food we can help to create a country that supports health and wellbeing, making it easier for all Australians to live well.

Obesity Evidence Hub

The hub is an easy-to-use website, maintained by Food for Health Alliance, that identifies key evidence and data on diets and overweight and obesity issues across five key areas – trends, impacts, prevention, treatment, and environment.

The Obesity Evidence Hub is a joint project resulting from a partnership between Cancer Council Victoria, the Bupa Health Foundation and Food for Health Alliance. It is a foundational component to the Obesity Collective, a modern movement to drive action on important obesity initaitves in Australia.

The Obesity Evidence Hub’s objective is to identify, analyse and synthesise the evidence on obesity. By presenting the evidence base, our goal is to provide the platform for future policy development in Australia.
